Today we are: learning about the oceans

I will: learn about some of the more interesting locations on in the ocean

1.  Let's look at IO again.
     first contact with land after 30 days
     and now the sharks

2.  Now lets look at waves and surfing.  We will watch parts of "Riding Giants".  Also, here are some clips to watch.
     How is a wave formed?
     How heavy is a wave?
     What is the largest wave ever surfed?
     The movie "Chasing Mavericks"

3.  Now it's your turn.  Work on your topic 3&4 handout.  Also, hand in your topic 1&2 handout.
