Week 7: Math, Radicals, Square and Cubes

This week we are: Working on our understanding of numbers and their prime factors This week we are: Looking more in depth on radicals, squares and cubes.

I will: define numbers as prime factors, LCM and GCF. I will: review number sets and the classification of numbers I will: Learn about Prime numbers, GCF, LCM

I can: define and calculate both GCF and LCM I can: define the parts of a radical I can: solve perfect squares and perfect cubes I can: move back and forth between radicals and mixed radicals

Monday

1.  Turkey Day!

Tuesday

1.  Review; Factor Tree, Prime, LCM and GCF

2.  Lesson on Perfect squares and perfect cubes.

3.  Afternoon - Lesson on the Introduction of Radicals

4. HW: Lesson 2 Ex.4&5 (any two each) / Lesson 3 Examples 2-4 (at least 2 or 3 each)

Wednesday

1.  Formative Assessment on LCM & GCF

2.  Formative Assessment on squares and cubes

3.  Lesson on the Introduction of Radicals (did not get to this yesterday)

4. HW:  Lesson 4 Examples 1-6 (at least half the examples.  for odd numbers, do more than half)

Thursday

1.   Review how to work with Radicals with yesterdays Lesson on the Introduction of Radicals 

2.   HW:  Lesson 4 Examples 1-6 (complete all questions)

Friday

1.  Formative assessment on Radicals tomorrow.
